Janice Way Cooper
December 19th, 1926 - May 21st, 2012
Janice W. Cooper passed away on Monday, May 21, 2012 at Suncoast Hospice at Bayfront Medical Center. She is predeceased by her husband D. Morgan Cooper, her parents; Kathleen and Claude Way and her brothers Channing Way and the Rev. Vance Way. Janice was born in Henderson, North Carolina. She married D. Morgan Cooper, also of Henderson and moved to New York City and then settled in Tampa, Florida in 1953. Mrs. Cooper worked in the medical profession for cardiovascular and thoracic surgeons until she retired in 1990. Mrs. Cooper was a devoted mother to her children; Kathleen Morgan Cooper DeLisi of North Carolina and Janice Ferebee Cooper (Paxton) Barnett of St. Petersburg. She dearly loved and was extremely proud of her grandchildren; Adam (Kendra) Cathey, Bryan (Amanda) Cathey and Caroline Paxton Barnett and her great grandchildren; Addison and Kaylin Cathey. Her family would like to express their appreciation to everyone at Bon Secours for their loving care of her and everyone at Suncoast Hospice at Bayfront Medical Center. There will be a gathering on Saturday May 26, 2012 from 10am-11am with a memorial service at 11am, both at Anderson-McQueen Funeral Home, 2201 Dr. MLK Street North, St. Petersburg, FL.
