March 20th, 1932 - August 13th, 2012
Duffy, Patricia 80, of St. Petersburg, passed away on August 13, 2012. She was born in Newberry, SC. She graduated from Newberry High School (1950) and Winthrop University (1954) with a degree in Early Education. She taught at Bradley School (Columbia, SC) for 5 years. She married and relocated to St Petersburg, FL where she taught school at Fairmount Park. Patricia was an auxiliary member of American Legion Post 54. She was also a long time member of St Luke's United Methodist Church where she belonged to the Wesleyan Circle serving as its treasurer and taught Bible School. She was a member of the Girl Scouts and worked with several troops. She was very artistic and loved making crafts especially if they could be shared with others. Patricia was preceded in death by her loving husband of 45 years, Richard. She is survived by her son, Allen; daughters, Caron (Scott) Carlson and Lisa; granddaughter, Sheila. Funeral services will be held on August 17, 2012 at Anderson McQueen, 7820 38th Ave. N. Visitation for family and friends will be at 10:00AM with the service at 11:00AM with burial to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St Luke's United Methodist Church at 4444 Fifth Avenue North, St Petersburg, FL 33713 or a charity of your choice.
