Mier, Ana Rosa, phD 95, of St. Petersburg, died Wednesday, December 12, 2012, at Carrington Place. Born in Artemisa, Cuba, she came to the United States in 1965. She was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church. Predeceased in death by her husband of 53 years, Benito Mier. She is survived by her daughters, Ana Hartnett (John), Rosie Johnstone (Scott); son Agustin Mier ( Mayela) ; brother Dr. Francisco Rodriguez; grandchildren Michelle Kans (Keith), Jazmin Corbell ( Charles), John Hartnett III, Agustin (Carolina) and Jan Mier, Jason Goldsmith ( Heather), Kyle Johnstone; eight great-grandchildren; and Dr. Enid Mier, daughter-in-law. There will be a Funeral Mass at St. Raphael Catholic Church at 10a.m. on Friday, December 14th, followed by burial at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
