William Anderson Collins (Will), 32, passed away at home in his bed Monday April 1, 2019 (April Fool's Day). Will was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida and a graduate of St. Petersburg High School. Will was a member of Pinellas Community Church and was to be baptized on Easter Sunday. Will was a PROUD member of the Lumbee Tribe out of Pembroke, NC. He is preceded in death by his father, Alivin Ray Collins of St. Petersburg, Florida; Grandmothers, Millie J Collins and Arminda Locklear; Grandfathers, William Anderson Collins and William Roy Brewington; and Uncles, Flynn Brewington and Anthony Brewington all of Pembroke, North Carolina. Will is survived by his Mother, Deborah Ann Collins (Nana Deb); Sister, Christina Victoria Crosby (Christie); Grandfather, Manford Locklear; Niece, Alisiea Collins; Nephews, Alexandar Oxendine, Leonte Weaver and Kwamay Weaver, all of St. Petersburg, Florida, and Austin Oxendine of Fort Collins, Colorado; Great Nieces, Gabriella Weaver and Giavanna Weaver; Aunts, Fannie Strickland, Sherry Brewington, Vicky Carol Brewington of Pembroke, North Carolina and Juanita Pickney of St. Petersburg, Florida; Uncles, Simuel Brewington, Aronold Brewington, and William Roy Brewington, all of Pembroke NC; Cousins, Jason Strickland, Cresta Strickland, Justin Strickland, Michelle Locklear, and Michael Brewington of Pembroke, North Carolina, and Flynette Coble of Clinton, North Carolina. Will was also survived by his fiance', Nichole Schipper, and her children, Jermaine Schipper and Ahna Russell, whom he loved and treated like his own, all of St. Petersburg, Florida. Will also is survived by many additional aunts, uncles, and cousins all of Pembroke, North Carolina. Will was a gentle soul with an infectious smile. No matter where you saw him he was smiling, laughing, dancing, making jokes, and as always acting silly. He loved spending time with his family and friends, basketball, and making people smile and laugh. He was a loving son, brother, fiancee, uncle, step-father, & friend. Will loved to fish, garden, watch basketball, listen to JCole, and as we all know, his favorite team was UNC (Carolina Tar Heels). Will always lived his life to the fullest and he always remained himself, no matter what the circumstances were. He was one who would open his house to anybody who needed it, and always extended love with open arms. Will left an impact on each and every person he met in many different ways, he always strived to make everyone proud, and he did. Will's legacy will live on and we all will never forget him or let his spirit die.#thelastmohican A Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 7, 2019 from 2-3pm at Anderson-McQueen Funeral Home, 2201 Dr. MLK Street N, St. Petersburg, FL 33704. A Funeral Service will immediately follow at the funeral home at 3pm. The family will receive family and friends following the service at 2218 50th Avenue North, St. Petersburg, Florida 33714. In lieu of Flowers a GOFUND me page will be set up to help the family with funeral exspenses.
