Jeffrey Benjamin Smith

Smith, Jeffrey Benjamin, 59, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2020. Jeff was born in Richmond, VA, the son of Arthur L. Smith and Dorothy M. Sexton. He was preceded in death by his parents and elder siblings, Jacquelin S. Sampson & James A. Smith. He is survived by his former wife, Ranell Smith, two younger sisters, Tammy Vincent & Michele Lempke and his children, Jasmine Marie Smith & Cody Lee Smith. Although a native Virginian, Jeff spent the majority of his adult life as a sunshine state resident of Florida and his last years enjoying two of his favorite things; woodworking- where he built intricate beautiful pieces with incredible detail and fishing on any lake, creek, stream or pond where he could cast a line for a catch. A member of Countryside Baptist Church, he never met a stranger and was never too busy to lend a hand or give aid to someone if he was able. A life cut short, he will be missed by many. Family and friends are invited to a 10:30 am service, Thursday, July 16, at Countryside Baptist Church, 2525 N . McMullen Booth Rd, Clearwater, FL 33761 with a private graveside committal to follow at Bay Pines National Cemetery in St. Petersburg.
