Thomas John "Tom" Kochen, 67, of St. Petersburg passed away January 3, 2022 at St. Anthony's Hospital in the critical care unit. Born in Plainfield, New Jersey and raised in Toms River, New Jersey he graduated from Toms River High School in 1972. He went on to graduate from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York in 1974. Funeral Service will be held on January 27, 2022 at Anderson McQueen Funeral Home located at 2201 Dr. MLK St. N. St. Petersburg 33704 . Visitation will be held at 5:00pm followed by the memorial service at 6:00pm with Deacon John Fox officiating. Reception following at 4138 Carson St. NE. St. Petersburg 33703. Take 22nd Ave N. detour to Tom's house due to bridge closure until 2/1/22. Tom was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Marie Kochen. Tom is survived by his wife Natalie; his sons Jason and Jonathan Kochen; siblings James Kochen, Peter Kochen, Barbara Drysdale and Joan Schleich. Tom was a gentleman, generous & socially a very humble man. Tom loved his family, was passionate for life, cooking, music & exploring new places and foods in his travels. His love will be missed.
