Angus "Jerry" Jerome Lawson
July 20th, 1946 - November 22nd, 2022
Lawson, Angus “Jerry”, passed away on November 22nd at Bayfront Medical Center. Born in St. Petersburg, the son of The Very Rev. LeRoy D. Lawson, the first Dean of St. Peter’s Episcopal Cathedral (from 1966 to 1981) and Dorothy Lawson. He was employed by Florida Ambulance and retired from The Pinellas County Tax Collectors office after 20 years of employment there. Jerry was married to Rosalie Custode Lawson for 49 years and they were both members of St. Raphael’s Catholic Church. He had two children, William Spencer II (Ellen Marie Purtell Spencer), Dubuque, IA and Christopher Jerome Lawson (Christine Monk Lawson), St. Petersburg, FL. Grandchildren include: Alexander, Lucas, Carter, Ashton and Annabelle. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 4th, between 2-4pm at Anderson McQueen Family Tribute Center, 2201 Dr. MLK Street North, St. Petersburg. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, December 5th at 11am at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church, 1376 Snell Isle Blvd, St. Petersburg. Interment to follow at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park in Clearwater.
