John Kaddis October 26, 1966 - June 7, 2023 John Robert Kaddis died peacefully June 7, 2023 at his home. He was born October 26,1966 in Rochester, New York. He moved to St. Petersburg in 1979. John graduated from Rochester University with a B.A. degree in Psychology, International Relations, and Russian Studies, and received an MBA in Finance and Management from the University of South Florida. John had a long and successful career as a Certified Financial Planner spanning more than 30 years, first at Paine Webber, which became UBS Financial Services, and later at Raymond James & Associates, where he spent the last 12 years of his career as a Senior Vice President of Investments. Over his long career, John provided thousands of hours of financial guidance to hundreds of families, and took great pride in his role as a financial advisor and financial planner. He received numerous professional awards over the years, including the honor of being named to the President's Club. In addition to his professional and personal pursuits, John was active in the community, providing his financial knowledge, expertise and time in support of many causes. He was an alumni of Leadership St. Pete, and served for many years on the Board of Directors of the Great Explorations Children's Museum in St Petersburg, where he also served as Board Chair. John was born to Lithuanian parents and as a young adult he danced with a local Lithuanian Dance Folk group where he made life-long friends. He continued to enjoy music all of his life -- singing in the Glee Club in college and playing guitar and keyboard in a local band "Mid-Life Crisis." John also enjoyed history, movies and politics. He was hard to beat at trivia. John and Christina were married in 1999. After his children were born, John devoted himself to fatherhood and family. He danced in father-daughter dances with Samantha's dance studio and taught the Boy Scouts of Christian's troop how to build and safely launch model rockets. He and his family enjoyed traveling together, too -- favorite destinations included Hawaii, Italy and Iceland.Everyone enjoyed his wit and intelligence. For those whose lives he touched, he created memories that will span a lifetime. John is survived by his wife, Christina; daughter, Samantha; son, Christian; sisters, Mary Tomlinson and Kathy Gvildys and husband Aras; in-laws, Gary and Norma Walker; sister-in-law, Lorianne Lundy; niece, Kaitlyn Lundy and nephew, E. J. Lundy, He is predeceased by his parents, Albert and Jean Kaddis and brother-in-law, Ed Lundy. To View the Service Live: CLICK HERE
