Christopher Daniel Mallardi
March 26th, 1967 - May 12th, 2018
Christopher Daniel Mallardi, 51, loving husband to Jessika, and devoted father to Michael, passed away at home on May 12, 2018 after a hard fought battle with colon cancer. In addition to his wife and son, Christopher is survived by his mother, Rosemarie Nolan, and her husband, Frank, of Tampa; sister, Liz Mason, and her children, John Daniel and Alicia of North Carolina; uncles, Frank Duve (Merlyn) of Maryland, Tom Duve (Linda) of Ohio, and Don Duve (Marilyn) of South Carolina; plus multiple cousins. Christopher had a very close relationship with his sisters-in-law, Shannon Dansby of St. Petersburg, Stefanie Kelley (Tony) of St. Petersburg, and Vinnet Cline (Sean Murphy) of Odessa. Christopher adored being an uncle and loved spending time with his nieces Bailey, Morgan, Riley, and his nephew Colin. Christopher is predeceased by his father Daniel Mallardi. Christopher was a huge auto racing fan and passed that love onto his son, Michael. Some of their best memories were made at the race track whether it be as spectators, or when Michael was racing go karts. Michael meant the world to Christopher, and he was so proud of the amazing young man he is turning into. In addition to his love of auto racing, he was also a fan of everything mechanical and liked to tinker with things to see how they worked. He enjoyed bike riding and loved to travel, especially when he was accompanied by his wife and son. He was an avid learner, and voracious reader. Christopher was a graduate of Leto High School in Tampa, and the University of South Florida. He was employed by FIS Global. One of his proudest accomplishments was being a part of the "Most Audacious” Leadership St. Pete Class of 2015 where he had a life changing experience and made incredible friendships. Visitation will be at 10:30am on Monday, May 21st at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church 1376 Snell Isle Blvd NE St. Petersburg, FL 33704 followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:30am. Christopher was taken from this life far too soon. If there is one thing that he would have liked everyone to take away from his unfortunate passing, it would be for all of us to get a colon cancer screening much earlier than currently recommended.
