Roxanne Fitzgerald

Roxanne Fitzgerald Roxanne passed away March 15, 2011, in Olympia, Washington. She was one day shy of turning 53. She was born March 16, 1958, to Francis Joseph and Lena Rosalie Fitzgerald in Chicago, Illinois. Roxy, as she was known, was our wild child—our free spirit—a lover of people and a friend to many. Her passion for life flowed over to all lives she touched. She loved music, watching “Law and Order,” dancing, walking, bowling, and of course, shopping. A long-time resident of Glendale, California, she retired and had lived in Olympia for the past three years. She also was a member of St. Michael’s Church in Olympia. Roxy is survived by her brother, Joseph Stephen Fitzgerald of Palmdale, California; sisters, Rochelle Marie Fanaris of Olympia, Washington, and Ramona Lee Hall of Anga Dulce, California; nephews, Christopher J. Fanaris of Olympia, Joseph Michael Fitzgerald of Bellingham, Washington, and Jason Joseph Fitzgerald of Palmdale, California; nieces, Julie Laurel and Hilary Brooke of California; three great nieces and numerous cousins; best cousin, Sandy Shue of California; aunt and uncle, Joan and Pat Weldon of Olympia; Nanny and friend, Maureen Clark of Olympia; and best friend of more than 30 years, “Tracy.” She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother-in-law, “Papa Bear” James Michael Fanaris. My Sister Roxy I love you now and always, Sissy. You will continue to be my rock—my shining star—my gift of life. When my days ahead are dark, I will think of you. When my nights are lonely, I will see your beautiful face and know all is good. When you see PaPa, kiss him for me. Tell him you are there to help with the cookies.
