Donald G. Hicks

Donald G. Hicks, 74, Ocean Shores resident, passed away suddenly from cardiac arrest on May 18, 2017. Don followed his mother, Thelma; father, Percy; and daughter, Teresa, home to be with the Lord. Don is lovingly remembered by his wife of 31 years, Linda; and her two children, Carolyn (husband, Kevin) and Christopher (wife, Cindy); and grandchildren, Jacob (wife, Alaina), Tyler and Garrett. Don is also survived by family members, Alma Puckett (paternal aunt) and younger brother, Steve Hicks and his family. Don was a man of few words and, when he spoke, he had an impact. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Also, he was an organ donor whose gift impacted 30 people. Don loved Ocean Shores and resided there full time with his wife, Linda, for over 15 years. Other chapters of his very full life include honorable discharge from the Army, Hull Design Engineer at the Naval Ship Yard, Realtor and broker in Federal Way, breeder of Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, downhill and cross country skiing, deep sea diving, cycling, kayaking, motorcycle riding, and motor home travel.
