Eugenie "Jenny" L. Cuthbertson

Jenny was born in 1933 in Munich, Germany. Raised in Starnberg, Germany, she met her husband Eugene Leo Cuthbertson (dec. 2005) in 1954 in Karlsruhe, Germany while he was stationed. They married in 1956 and spent the next 12 years in the U.S. Army when he retired in Ft. Carson, CO after 20 years of service. They then moved to California settling in Walnut, CA for the next 6 years before moving to WA in 1976. Jenny is survived by her daughters Jeanette (Dave) Morgan, grandchildren Tashiana Morgan of CA and Carissa (Mark) Beaton and great grandson Kyle currently residing in Japan, daughter Andree Baumann of MO and daughter Gail Wilkins of CA. It was always a surprise for people who met them to hear that their names were so similar and it was a source of pride & amusement for “Gene & Jenny” aka E.L. Cuthbertson. They owned their own wood shop in Kent for many years where they made wood whirligigs & twirlers, made & repaired furniture, rocking horses and many unique items over the years. After closing their wood shop they moved to Graham. When Gene passed away, Jenny moved to Auburn, then back to Kent. Their love and joy were their Irish Setters. They were part of the Irish Setter Rescue Club of Seattle for many years, joining in parades and rescue. They took in many dogs over the years and loved & cared for each of them. Jenny adopted her last dog “Dorothy” in 2010 and took care of her till Dorothy’s death in 2011. A people person who inspired loyalty, Jenny was well taken care of in her last months. She was cared for by her church family, many loyal friends and leaves a hole in many hearts. Jenny wanted to finish her life in her home state of WA as it reminded her of her native country Germany and this was only possible because of the people who loved her. Her family wants to thank all who helped in her care, Oscar, Dolly & TJ Bayna, Lynn & Pete Cadondon, (and all the caregivers at Homecare in Kent & ABC Dwelling), Pastor Mark & Pam Johnson, (and the ladies from Family of Grace Lutheran Church of Auburn), Carol Derhaag, Russ & Marilyn Render, Kelly & Scott Woodworth, Ray & Pat Pool, Dr. S. Reddy & Shawn Sharma who always made mom look her best with her regular hair salon appointments. A memorial service is planned for Sunday, April 27th, 1pm at Family of Grace Lutheran Church, 31317 124th Ave SE, Auburn, WA 98092
