Born 6/10/1952 in Tokyo, Japan and passed away peacefully 1/19/06 in Tacoma, WA. John attended Mount Tahoma HS and worked at Boeing for 17 years. He loved the outdoors-white water rafting, skiing, hunting, discussing politics, fast cars, and his many animals. John is survived by daughter, Melissa (Tony) Mezias of Tacoma, WA; 3 grandchildren, Jordan, Tony, Miara; father, John Sloan Sr. of Lake Havasu City, AZ; mother, Inako Oestereich of Tacoma, WA; 2 brothers, Michael Sloan of Tacoma, WA, Robert Oestereich of Tacoma, WA; 2 sisters, Shirley Wilder of Tacoma, WA, Kerry (Ronald) Southern of Graham, WA; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Viewing to be held 4-8 PM Monday, January 23, 2006 at Edwards Memorial Center, 3005 Bridgeport Way W., University Place, WA 98466 253-566-1008.
