Sherwood "Bud" Bruce Larsen Bud was born January 22, 1926 in Tacoma, WA to Herman and Lilian (Derrickson) Larsen . He passed away July 8, 2013 in University Place, WA surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife - Doris; 2 sons - Martin Larsen (Molly), Gregory Larsen (Heather); daughter - Sheri Larsen-Pickard (David); 4 grandchildren and numerous extended family members and friends. Bud graduated from Stadium High School in 1944. He then attended and graduated from the University of Puget Sound where he met his wife of 62 years. Bud was a proud member of the Tacoma Yacht Club since 1947. He raced his wood sloop, The Chandra, for many years. Graveside to be held on Friday July 12, 2013, at 1:30pm. Service to be held at Old Tacoma Cemetery 4801 South Tacoma Way, Tacoma, WA. Contributions in Bud's honor can be made to United Church in University Place or a charity of your choice.
