Mementos

Tom joined Ambitions of Washington's Supportive Living Program in July of 2003. Tom has spent more than 22 years living with or living close to the same three ladies; Coreen, Melinda and Todina. Additionally, three of his original staff; Ryan, Vicki and Judy were still with him today. Ryan started working with Tom in 1990. There has been a steady decline in Tom's health over the last few years. However, anyone who knows Tom knows that he was a fighter and by being a fighter was able to remain at home with those he knows and cares about. Tom liked strolls in the park, visiting coffee houses or just hanging out at home being entertained by the funny group of gals he lived with at Lakewood House. Other interests included listening to music and getting massages. Everyone loved Tom and he was a joy to work with. Tom had a way about him you just could not help but fall in love with him. He was a gentle soul that everyone loved being around. He fought long and hard to remain with us and surprised us all every single day. He will be great missed. A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at 10am at the Lakeview Chapel, 4606 108th St SW, Lakewood, WA.
