Douglas Woods Keddie
November 27th, 1930 - July 12th, 2007
Douglas Woods Keddie was born on November 27, 1930, in Hollywood, California. He died on July 12, 2007, at Providence St. Peter’s Hospital in Olympia, WA. Doug received his bachelors and law degrees from the University of Arizona and practiced law in Yuma, Arizona, for 15 years before being appointed to the bench in 1975. He served as a Superior Court Judge in Yuma County for 18 years and was an active community volunteer. Doug married the love of his life, Elizabeth Morrison Parrish, in 1952 and they enjoyed 42 years together until Bit’s death in 1994. Doug is survived by his children, Cameron Foster-Keddie and Sarah Jane Keddie Klann of Olympia, WA, Stuart P. Keddie of Pismo Beach, CA, and Hamilton N. Keddie of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren Katharine, John, James, Anne and Emily Foster-Keddie; Mary, Sally, Jane and Douglas Woods Klann; and Elizabeth and Maria Keddie; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held in Yuma, AZ, at 10:30am on Saturday, July 21st, in the Division 1 Courtroom of the Historic Courthouse.
