Edgar Allen McCollum, age 90, of Fort Myers died Thursday, October 27, 2011 at Fort Myers, Edgar was born October 26, 1921 in Tarentum, PA. He is the son of the late Oscar Roy and the late Martha Mary (Burtner) McCollum. He served his country in the Army during World War II. He was employed by Westinghouse Electric Co for 42 Years. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church of Fort Myers and Verona Lodge, F. & A.M. of Pennsylvania. Edgar is survived by his wife: Mary Jane (Sefton) McCollum , two daughters: Linda M. Trujillo, Marsha A. McCollum, son: David K. McCollum, brother: Wayne L. McCollum, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sisters: Marcella Early and Twila Garlick. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at Grace United Methodist Church, 14036 Matanzas Drive, Fort Myers, with Pastor James Holden officiating. Viewing will be one hour prior to service. Burial will be in Plum Creek Cemetery, Plum Borough, PA. The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 1, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Akin-Davis Funeral Home, 13932 Palm Beach Boulevard, Fort Myers. It is suggested memorial contributions be made to Grace United Methodist Church. Arrangements by: Akin-Davis Funeral Home-Fort Myers
