Harold F. Lowe

Friends may pay their respects prior to the service, beginning at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 18, 2006 at Masonic Center Harold F. Lowe, 90, of Olympia, Washington, died on Wednesday, July 12, 2006, at Olympia Manor in Olympia. Mr. Lowe was born on May 23, 1916 in Parkland, Washington to Peter and Alice (Doyle) Lowe. Harold graduated from Lincoln High School in Tacoma, Washington in 1934. On May 11, 1946 in Camas, Washington, he married Cleo Limesand, who survives. The couple lived in Portland, Oregon from 1943 to 1953. From 1943 to 1945, Harold served in the United States Navy on the U.S.S. Belle Grove in the South Pacific Theater during World War II. The couple moved to Burien, Washington in 1953, and then to Olympia in 1967. Harold was a computer systems analyst with the Boeing Company for 14 years, and then served 15 years with the Washington State Department of General Administration. Harold enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and winters in Arizona. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Steve (Brenda) Lowe, of Richland, Washington; two daughters, Sue (John) Morris and Kathy (Greg) Ewing, both of Olympia; six grandchildren; and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Hazel Tellvik. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 18, 2006, at the Masonic Center, 521 North Street S.E., Tumwater. Friends may pay their respects prior to the service, beginning at 2:00 p.m. A graveside service will take place the following day, Wednesday, July 19, 2006, at 1:00 p.m. at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Washington.
