Lillian Elizabeth Ost was born January 25, 1942 in Council, Alaska and promoted to Glory on March 22, 2010 in Tacoma, Washington. She was the 8th of 11 children born to John and Mary Lou Ost. As a child she was strong willed and adventurous. Always a self starter Lilly wanted so badly to attend school, however, she wasn’t old enough, and not even a school teacher could resist her charm allowing her to attend anyway. She went on to attend schools in Council, Homer, Tacoma, and the University of Alaska. Lilly was a kind, loving, and generous person. She had such a zeal for life, often doing spur-of-the-moment, fun activities. She loved to say that she took 6 years of piano and still couldn’t play. She and her sisters Rosie, Metta and Lois spent many happy visits “fellowshipping” together. Lilly shared many joyous dinners with so many of us. Her young spirit made her a fun mother to Elizabeth, Leon, Michelle, and Kristina. She had a loving heart and warm hugs perfect for her 11 grandchildren: Zsaklyn, Zsivon, Zsoelle, Nathan, Chelsea, Melissa, Kierene, Dakota, Joseph, Isaiah, and Lavonte, who knew her only as “Mammo”. She is survived by 3 sisters; Lola Austerman, Clara James and Lois Marsden and 3 brothers; Donald Ost, John Ost, and Emory Ost. Along with many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Egeetook will be greatly missed; our precious sister, loving mom, favored auntie, caring cousin and joyful friend. We are comforted to know she is praising our Wonderful Lord in person along with many family members. Elizabeth: My Mother, my friend, we spent so many times talking and sharing and I so enjoy the amazing person she was. Heaven is so blessed with her wonderful presence and I know she will always be with us in our hearts. Leon: A Mom, A Daughter, A Sister and A Friend. To a Mom, whom life had started out with endless dreams you have shown me what a man should be to a woman. For that I am eternally grateful. For the short time we have had I wish I could have had just 5 more minutes of your time and learned more about whom you were, To a daughter, the loss to your family will be felt the most, for your up spirit always filled the room with laughter and joy and a few jokes at each other. To a sister, there’s nothing stronger than the bond that sisters can feel when you re down you talked and when you are happy you enjoyed and when you love everyone gained, To my friend, this is the one I will miss the most. It was the time you looked, listened and felt the pain and the love and just lent an ear and said after all is done it will be ok and I knew it would be because you were right many a time. Love Buz Michelle: My Mom meant the world to me. She was not only my mother but my best friend, she spent many hours with a kind ear and a loving heart guiding me in the right direction, I will truly miss her and I am comforted to know that I just have to look within and know that she will always be there whenever I need her. I love you Mom. Kristina: Dear mom, I miss you so much, I cant believe the time we had together was so short, I’m going to miss the chats we had so often over coffee, the laughs we shared, and the times you were there to hold me when life hurt just a little too much, the wisdom you shared and the traditions you upheld time after time, now to be carried on by your loved ones you shared them with, I love you so much and hope to see you again, I hope heaven is beautiful as you have dreamed, and you finally get to walk the pretty shore with Jesus. Love your baby girl Kri
