Elsie Panks, born June 5, 1936 in Erie, PA, passed away on June 19, 2006 at the Franciscan Hospice House. Elsie had a passion for her cats, gardening, and tending to wild animals and birds. Elsie leaves her daughter Lorie Bartnes and husband Curt, grandson Jason Bartnes and wife Amy, granddaughter Jessica Bartnes and finance David, sister Louise Lowery of Indianapolis, IN, and special friend Dorothy Bartnes. Special thanks to her compassionate and caring “angels”, Hospice team Diane, Tracy, Jacquie, Corinne, Tom, Aaron and Rachel. Elsie’s life will be celebrated at a private ceremony at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please send remembrances to Franciscan Hospice, 2901 Bridgeport Way, University Place, WA 98466. Arrangements by Edwards Memorial Center 253-566-1008.
