Charles Hugh Flanagan
May 9th, 1943 - August 4th, 2014
Charles (Charlie) H. Flanagan, 71, passed away August 4, 2014. After months of suffering, he is now in the peaceful hands of the Lord. Born in Schenectady, NY on May 9, 1943, he was the son of the late Charles E. Flanagan of Schenectady, NY and Erna B. Flanagan of Rotterdam, NY. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a stepson Michael (Florkiewicz) Flanagan of Tacoma, WA. Charlie gradu-ated from Mohonasen High School in Rotterdam, NY and then went on to serve four years in the US Marine Corps. Charlie then entered a career of excellent, honest, salesmanship from Schenectady, NY to Tacoma, WA and was always commended by his sales peers by stating he could sell snow to the Eskimos! He also had many passions, but his love for hunting and fishing was his favorite as well as his daily jokes. He is survived by his wife, Connie (Florkiewicz) Flanagan, Tacoma, WA, his son Wesley (Tulloch) Flanagan, Troy, NY and his stepson Ron (Florkiewicz) Flanagan, Tacoma, WA, brothers Martin J. Flanagan of Glenville, NY and Michael H. Flanagan of Scotia, NY, several nieces and nephews, two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and his best friend Larry Stankavich of Duanesburg, NY. Love you always, from all of us. Funeral services and burial will be private.
