Charles Edward Smith was born May 22, 1943 in Pine Bluff Arkansas to Eddie Smith and Annie Helen Dotson, both preceded him in death. He was married to Helen Carolyn Smith (Proceeded in death). Charles grew up in Tacoma and graduated from Stadium High School and attended Bates Vocational School. He served in the army and National Guard. He received commendations for his marksman and sharpshooter badges. Charles never had children but loves life, people and had a sweet spirit. He loved his family, friends and would put other first. Charles was an avid bowler, enjoyed playing dominoes, singing karaoke, and listening to old school music. He was a mariner fan and enjoyed spending time with his friends at the beacon senior center. He leaves behind his sisters, Helen Smith, Saundra Sims. His brother; Maurice Crain. Nieces; Dawn Cardwell, Felicia Cardwell, Erica Cardwell, Imani Conway, Denielle Sims, Tanisha Crain (Ryan), Latifa Crain. Nephews; Oliver Cardwell, Darryl Cardwell, Brandon Sims, Jermaine Henderson, Marcell Crain, Kershawn. Name Sake: Charles Holland. Aunts; Mini Rogers, Everlena Gray, Maxine Malone of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Dorothy McFadden of Pine Bulff, Arkansas Special thanks to close friends: Rocky Crockwell, Dan Anderson, Lynn Sconyers and Ian Warren. He will also be remembered by many other relatives and friends. Charles’ Ashes along with his wife's will be scattered in the wind.
