Natalie McLaughlin
November 10th, 1986 - May 24th, 2009
Natalie Janine McLaughlin In loving memory of our sweet daughter Natalie. On 10 November 1986 to us in Ludwigsburg Germany Natalie Janine McLaughlin became our 2nd child and first daughter born into our family of five. Both Dorothea and I as proud parents watched her grow up and bloom into the wonderful young woman she was. Over the years she touched the hearts of many people along the way. Teachers, friends, professional colleagues, the list goes on. Natalie accomplished many things and I am certain she was proud of them. She was an honor student in High school, played the Viola, went to New Market for Culinary arts and even trained to be a bar tender someday. Natalie was devoted to her family. She loved spending quality time with her brother and sister doing what I call the “sibling day out.” Never quite knew where they went or did, but I know they all had a good time. She also spent quality time with her parents too. We weren’t left out. Both Dorothea and I remember playing Bingo, paint ball, laser tag; watch a movie and even her riding on the back of motorcycles. We have many wonderful memories doing these things with her along with her loving hugs of course. Natalie loved watching Anime, reading Manga, and even going to conventions up in Seattle every year. As a family, we have very fond memories going to these same conventions with her staying in a local hotel enjoying such events. There is a picture of her wearing her favorite hat at one of those conventions. Natalie loved cats, especially Tigers. Since Natalie was born on the “year of the tiger” it might explain her interest. But anything with tigers interested her. At home she had a small stuffed tiger that was often placed at the front door to the room Natalie shared with her sister Sarah. I think that the stuffed tiger symbolized a spiritual connection with Natalie who helped to “guard” or “protect” her. The most important thing about Natalie though is the way she became a very warm hearted, loving person with a great sense of humor. She clearly loved other people who in turn loved her back. Both Dorothea and I will deeply miss the hugs, the joy, and love she gave to us all. We were blessed having Natalie in our life. Dear Natalie, I hope your spirit is at ease wherever you are, and know that we loved you very much our beloved daughter. A Celebration of Life will be held between10 am - 12 noon, on Saturday, May 30, 2009, at Lucky Eagle Casino. Please leave a condolences for the family by clicking on "View Guestbook" below.
