Chance Chance Traveler Thurman’s spirit passed from this physical world last Sunday, 5:30 am, in Tacoma Washington. He is loved and missed by so many. He was a passionate supporter of his family and friends, devoted to a fault. He listened to a wide variety of music and we would rock out on weekends when he would visit. Growing up he loved to skateboard around Tacoma and skim board out at Chamber’s Creek in University Place. We have been honored to know that he and his brother Ace have a group of friends that are deep and come from all over Tacoma and are some of the best friends our sons could have ever had. Our family has come together during this tragedy and despite Chance’s challenges in life he was always very dear to us and would stay close by and visit often. We miss you badly son, but wish you Godspeed from this place. His good friend Cassandra had this to say “No matter the reason for death, none make the passing of someone you care for easy. Whether you are active in their life or it's been some years since you've spoken.. Life is so short and Love still remains. Friends as close as family can pick back up where you left off no matter the time and distance. Chance was one of those friends to everyone. You could pick back up with a huge Chance smile and a hug. The Chance I remember was a kind and gentle soul. Always there to help a friend. Always the peace keeper, the party starter the project mayhem partner. Life of the party with his smile and hugs.. Telling you how much he "loved you man." The old yin to Rachael's yang... Hott Jon's boy blue.. Regardless, if you were his friend he had your back. You will be missed greatly my dear friend. There are so many, many happy memories with you and I will always remember you that way. It brings tears to my eyes knowing I didn't get to say goodbye and will see your shining smile again. You have been on my mind since I heard the tragic news and in my dreams last night. You touched so many many lives and I miss your face so so much. By remembering you we keep your spirit alive. I love you Chance Traveler Thurman. Rest easy my friend” While this does not include all of his friends and relationships we thought it a good representation. The space he took will never be filled; the spirit he is will never be gone. We love you Chance
