Ovid Barnett, age 98, of Marco Island, FL. passed away November 24, 2020 in Naples, FL. He was born Jan. 29, 1922 in O'Brien, FL, to the late James Laughton and Jessie Mae (Wilder) Barnett. He moved to LaBelle in 1959 and lived there until his wife passed in 2005 when he moved to Marco Island. He served during World War II in the U.S. Army Air Corps He was a Farmer. Survivors include one daughter: Melinda C. Blum of Gainesville, FL 2 sons: James Jeff Barnett of LaBelle, and Ovid Jr. of Punta Gorda A sister: Maxine Horne of Jacksonville, FL 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren He was predeceased by his wife: Elsie, son: Russell, sister: Margaurite Linch, and brother: Harry E.
