He had been admitted to Washington Soldier's Home located in Orting, WA late February 2008. He passed away April 9th due to extended illnesses. His wife, son and friends had visited him in his final hours before he passed on in his sleep at 10:15 pm. Raymond was a retired Chief Master Sergeant having served 24 years dedicated to the Air Force. After his retirement from the military he worked for HUD, then went on to work for the Department of Corrections as an Affirmative Actions Officer. He was an avid fisherman and always kept his pole and tackle box in the trunk of his car so he could be ever ready for that elusive pond. He loved to cook with soul food and gumbo being a couple of his culinary favorites. No matter where he was or what he was doing, he was always surrounded by friends and family. Raymond was an only child survived by his mother; Marie Moss of Bronx, NY, wife; Patricia of Tacoma, WA and son; Sean Patrick of Tacoma, WA. He also left behind many friends and family members in and around Tacoma, Olympia as well as the New York area.
