Shawn Connel Moriarty

Shawn Connel Moriarty, 40, an eleven year resident of Lacey, died Saturday, July 30, 2005 at his home. He was born July 21, 1965 to Harvey Moriarty and Sandra Simmons in Tacoma. He graduated from Yelm High School after which he received his Associates Degree in Applied Science in 1994 from ITT. Shawn married the former Jolinda Hedgers. The later divorced. He served in the United States Navy. Shawn was involved in artistry, creative construction, and science fiction. He was a member of the Moose Lodge. He is survived by his daughter, Nichole RaeAnn Moriarty, of Olympia; two brothers, Errol Moriarty, of Woodland, California and Quinn Moriarty, of Springfield, Massachussets; his mother, Sandra D. Simmons and step-father Walter C. Simmons, of Olympia; his father, Harvey R. Moriarty, of Buford, Georgia; his grandmother, Georgia Nelson, of Seattle; and his grandfather, Charles Josephson, of Kent. A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 7, 2005 at the Masonic Center, 521 North St. SE, Tumwater.
