October 18th, 1917 - September 3rd, 2012
Elizabeth S. “Liz” Pastore A 58-year resident of Lacey, Elizabeth Pastore passed away peacefully the morning of September 3, 2012 at the age of 94. She was born October 18, 1917 in Bremerton to Benjamin H. and Helen C. Scribner and lived for several years in that area. The family moved to Seattle and Elizabeth graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1935. She married James A. Pastore on December 31, 1937 in Vancouver, Washington. James was a career Army officer and the couple spent the next 17 years at various Army bases before returning to the Lacey area to retire in 1954. In 1982 James preceded her in death. Elizabeth is survived by her two sons, Michael Pastore (Dianne), Lacey, Washington, and Robert Pastore (Patty), Port Angeles, Washington. She is also survived by her two grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and many generations of well-fed gray squirrels. In addition to her love of animals, Elizabeth enjoyed gardening and genealogy, and was a voracious reader. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. At her request, there will be no services. In memory of Elizabeth, the family suggests donations be made to the St. Peter Hospital Foundation NODA Program. Please leave memories of Liz or condolences for the family in the Guestbook below.
