Funeral Alternatives of Washington - Tumwater
Dale Franklin Peek
October 15th, 1922 - July 10th, 2010
Dale E (Sarge) Peek, beloved father, husband and friend passed quietly passed from this life and into eternity on the early morning of July 10th 2010, following an extended illness. He was born to Frank and Mildred Peek on October 15th 1922 in Coldwater Michigan. He was survived by his wife Aurella (Tootie) Blowers, 1 son – Robert Clayton Peek of Olympia, 4 stepsons – Randy Harrison of Redding, California; Allen Baker of Redding; Rodney Hall, of Olympia, Rick Hall of Olympia; 1 daughter, Laurie Dawn Hargget of Olympia, and 3 stepdaughters – Robin Keel, Ore.; Rene’ Dingle of Olympia; and Ronna Woodward of Royal City, WA. Sarge had no brothers but did have two sisters, Yvonne and Betty, both of Michigan. He was blessed with several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Following High School, he left the farm and joined the army at age 17. He loved the army life and before long he became “Sarge” to everyone, and kept that title all of his life. He was stationed in New Guinea, the Philippines, Japan, Germany, Korea and Alaska. He rode horseback in the Army Cavalry. The army was his life; without doubt he is “Sarge” in heaven, perhaps lining the angels up for review. After moving to the Olympia area in 1994, he met and married Tootie. Together they attended New Hope Christian Fellowship and he enthusiastically became a part of the family there. He will be missed greatly both by his family and his New Hope family. His memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 7th at 3pm at Sonrise Church, 2805 Blvd. RD NE. A Potluck dinner will follow the memorial service and all those attending will be welcomed. Pastor Del, Pastor of New Hope Christian Fellowship will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to New Hope Christian Fellowship will be accepted and appreciated.
