Stanley C. Peters Stanley C. Peters passed away on Feb. 3, 2009 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. He was born on Nov. 8, 1924 in Hoquiam, WA. Stan was a home builder in the Olympia area for many years. He also enjoyed raising thoroughbred race horses with his brother, Robert. He was an avid sports fan and well known in his younger years for his excellence in football and baseball. He is survived by his wife, Sally, at home; his son, John (Lori) Quillen of Winlock, WA; three brothers, George Peters, Jim (Kathy) Peters and Ken (Pauline) Peters; three sisters, Marilyn Hasting, Dorothy Zerban and Evie (Jim) Grendahl; five grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death are his daughter, Barbara Weeks; son Ron Peters and two brothers, Robert and Neil Peters. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Roo-Lan Healthcare Center for their loving care of Stan for the last few years. Friends and family are invited to a gathering on Sat.
