JoAnn Ranney JoAnn Louise (Harris) Ranney, 85, died November 1, 2009 of Parkinson’s Disease. She was born in Aberdeen, Washington on August 31, 1924 to Judd and Juanita Harris. JoAnn graduated from Cleveland High School in Seattle and married Robert (Bob) J. Ranney in 1942. After living in Vancouver and Lynnwood, WA, JoAnn and her family settled permanently in Lacey in 1960. She retired from state government (DSHS) in 1990. JoAnn and Bob were married for 61 years until his death in 2003. JoAnn is survived by her children: Bob Ranney, Bill Ranney and Barbara Hoff (Larry); five grandchildren: Ian and Vanessa Ranney, Jennifer Naipo (Noah), Breanna and Stephanie Hoff; and one great-grandchild: Kealani Naipo. She was a kind and generous person and will be greatly missed. JoAnn attended the Olympia/Lacey Church of God. There will be a graveside memorial service for JoAnn on Thursday, November 5, at 11:00 a.m. at Oddfellows Cemetery, 3802 Cleveland Ave. SE, Olympia. All are welcome.
