William Lyle Roberts William Lyle (Bill) Roberts was born in Bishop, California on October 9, 1935 and passed away on December 8, 2008, after a 2 year battle with cancer. Bill was a long haul truck driver most of his life. In the past few years he was a school bus driver for Rainier School District. Bill is survived by his wife, Nancy (Sprouffske) Roberts, of the home in Rainier, 2 sons Keola Roberts (Joan) of Sacramento, CA and Hinano Roberts of Rainier, 4 daughters, Aliiolani Naipo (Garry) of Lacey, Lei Kukui Wheeler and Punalei McLean, both of Chehalis, and Mokihana Presley of Fort Smith, AR. He is also survived by 3 step-children, Sandra Ballenger and Jim Roberts of the home and Jerry (Wayne) Ballenger (Angie) of LaFollette, TN, 26 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Llewellyn and Goldie (Greer) Roberts, son Kulani Roberts, and son-in-law Gary Wheeler. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Rainier Food Bank at PO Box 438, Rainier, WA. There will be a receptacle for non-perishable food and money at the memorial service.
