Jerry Rutel
March 28th, 1923 - August 3rd, 2005
Jerry Rutel, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle & friend, passed away on August 3rd at the age of 82. He was born and raised in New York, but moved to San Jose, California in 1953 with wife, Edith and son, Mark. Not long after arriving on the West Coast, Jerry & Edith added second son, Paul and daughter, Bari. During the prime of his life, he enjoyed family gatherings, traveling, and being with friends. When illness struck in late 2004, Jerry and Edith moved to Seattle to be closer to their children. Jerry will be greatly missed by his wife of 55 years, their 3 children &3 grandchildren, Lindsey, Eric and Sam as well as brother, Al Rutel and sister, Thelma Kastner. We will be remembering the life of Jerry on August 19th at 2pm at the Cribari Clubhouse in The Villages Community. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the City of Hope (San Jose Chapter), Villages Haddasah, or Providence Hospice (Olympia, WA).
