Raymond Darrell Pentland
November 3rd, 1931 - November 12th, 2014
Raymond was born to Robert Lang Ley and Eva Rosetta (Cornish) Pentland in Tacoma, WA on Nov 3, 1931 and was blessed to be reunited with his deceased wife Mary Ellen Pentland, his sister Viola, his two brothers Willy and Bob, and his son Raymond Jr on Nov 12, 2014. Ray is survived by his sister Lois Arndt of Edgewood. By his first wife Phyllis Beall and their 6 of 7 children: Lydia of Gig Harbor, Robert of Olympia, Patricia of Spanaway, Dorinda of Spanaway, Sally of Chehalis and Donna of Lacey. Also his two step-children: Patti Bertrand and Carl Eugene Cabtree, III of Oregon. Ray is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Raymond served honorably in the Armed Forces as a cook and barber. After exiting the Armed Forces, Ray became a mason by trade and a picker by heart. He was a happy go lucky soul, easy going with a great sense of humor. In his later years, he renewed his faith in God and was called to the office of teacher in his church. A service will be held at Tahoma National Cemetery, on Dec 5, 2014 at 1:00 pm, with a memorial potluck to follow at Hidden Glen Estates Hall, 15616 76th Ave E, Puyallup, WA 98375.
