John Edward Leach [September 5, 1923- April 9, 2015] Jack [John Edward] Leach died peacefully on Thursday, April 09. He was born in New Brunswick, NJ and was preceded in death by his first wife Helen Gatrell Leach. He is survived by his second wife Norma Bartlett Leach, sons Tom [Rosemary] Leach, Tacoma and Brad [Pauline] Leach, Gorham, ME, grandchildren Damon Leach, Fullerton, CA, Bernadette [Steven] Skipper, Melbourne, FL, great grandchildren, Bradford Leach, CA and Madison & Michael Skipper, FL. He is also survived by his step children Linda Lepak, Everett and Sandy [Shannon] McCormick, Tacoma and children. Jack was a US Navy Lieutenant fighter pilot during WWII in the Pacific theater. After discharge from the Navy, he went to Harvard Business School to earn his MBA. He then worked for Standard Oil in Southeast Asia and later for RCA and Litton Industries in Manchester & London, England and Downer’s Grove, IL. After moving to Tacoma with Helen in 1978, he worked for Trick & Murray Business Products, Puget Sound [Key] Bank and Safeway. He retired to devote more time to his lifelong passions - duck hunting and decoy carving. After Jack & Norma married in 2010, they pursued their mutual interest in travel including trips to Normandy, France and Denmark. A Memorial Service will be held April 29th 1pm at St Luke’s Episcopal Church, 3615 North Gove Street Donations in his name can be made to Tacoma Lutheran Retirement Community or St Luke's Episcopal church or your favorite charity
