Nancy Alice Sauer
April 10th, 1952 - May 22nd, 2006
Nancy Alice Sauer, a lifelong resident of Olympia, died at her home on Monday, May 22, 2006. She was born April 10, 1952 in Olympia to Alvin E. and Patricia (Maynard) Sauer. Nancy graduated from Olympia High School, class of 1970 and Eastern Washington University, class of 1974. She went on to teach in Mirboo North, Victoria, Australia for 7 years. She was currently employed by the Washington State Liquor Control Board. Nancy liked to laugh, read and spend time with her friends and family. She enjoyed a good game of bunco and bowled on league at Westside Lanes. In addition to her parents, survivors include her brother John Sauer (Dana), sister, Susan Warren, aunts and uncles; Mary “Alice” Kurtenbach (Lynus), Everett Maynard (Carol), Janet Lee (Ronald), Robert Haase (Violet) and a very close group of extended family and friends. A Celebration of Life and Potluck will be held at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 31, 2006 at Thurston County Fairgrounds Heritage Hall. Please wear festive clothes in any shade of green to tropical print.
