Betty was born in Bethany, Missouri on August 8, 1946 and passed away April 5, 2013 in Spanaway, Washington. Betty passed away after several years of fighting breast cancer. In late October of 2012 Betty was diagnosed with cancer of the liver, lungs and limphnoids. Betty maintained her true belief in God and friendly spirit with those she loved until the end. With all that Betty endured, she showed everyone her great strength and courage throughout her battle with cancer. Betty is survived by her siblings, Jimmie Gainuss of Parkland, WA; Dorothy Robinson of Tacoma, WA; Richard D Pease of Eatonville, WA; Helen Whitley of Rainier, WA; Linda Robinson of Spanaway, WA; Rose Webb of Stewart, IA; and Bobby Pease of Tacoma, WA. Betty loved the color red and really enjoyed coloring pictures for her loved ones. Betty was very kind to others and her sense of humor made everyone laugh! Betty loved to be in the country listening to cricket and frogs. Betty would put a country music album on her record player and sing and dance for hours at a time. Betty loved her summer vacations with her mother and step father each year. Betty was predeceased by her father, Paul Gainuss; her step father, Richard A Pease; and her mother, Hattie Pruitt Pease; her niece, Shannon Pease; and her nephew, Ronald Culp. Spending time with family and loved ones was what Betty truly enjoyed. Betty will truly be missed by all yet will be watching over us in a much better place! There will be a Memorial Service held for Betty on April 13, 2013 at 3:30pm at Lakewood Baptist Temple at 10650 Military Rd. SW, Lakewood, WA 98498. Phone number is 253-584-2500. Betty will be laid to rest with her parents, Richard and Hattie Pease, in Eaglesville, MO August 10, 2013.
