Sandra June Alcorn
May 26th, 1952 - March 23rd, 2016
Sandra June Alcorn made her peaceful transformation on March 23, 2016 at Tacoma General Hospital. March 23rd also marked the day of the Penumbral Lunar Eclipse. One of the most significant astrological events of the year, an Eclipse of the Moon can only occur at Full Moon. The Sun, Earth and Moon are in an almost straight alignment, with the Earth passing between the Sun and the Moon. The Eclipse occurs when the Earths shadow falls on the Moon, an event that happens only twice in 2016. When something begins or ends on a Lunar Eclipse, it is believed to signify the beginning of spiritual growth, conscious awakening and personal development. The celebration of both the Eclipse and your life, are the beginning, and re-birth, of compassion, unconditional love and forgiveness, for the self, and those around you. Now is the time to embrace and honor all the feelings that are difficult, amazing, triumphant and joyful. This is the time to challenge the beauty and strength of your Faith, and to allow it to carry you forward to new beginnings. Sandra Alcorns life passionately embodied the importance of perseverance, optimism, thoughtfulness, reflection and Faith. She dedicated her life and time to being a devoted homemaker, and raising her 3 daughters and son, into becoming courageous and loving. She was also a dedicated and loving Grandmother to her 8 grandchildren: Jamel, Anthony, Tatyana, Cameron, Jayden, Cayden, Reggie and Rejanae. Sandra always displayed her wonderful sense of humor and cheerfulness, even during the most challenging of circumstances. She never had any qualms about talking to strangers and always had a powerful ability to draw people to her that wanted to know, love and protect her. Sandra will be remembered for her bubbly personality, sense of humor, strength and courage to live, and last but not least, defying the impossible. Sandra was born on May 26, 1952 in Spokane, Washington. She eventually moved to Yakima, Washington where she and her family spent many years, but later settled in Tacoma. Although, ultimately, she would reminisce the fond memories of living in Yakima, and often expressed her desire to return. She is survived by her son, Cedrick; daughters, Jodie, Deanna and Stephanie; ex-husband, Tommie; (surviving sisters) Billie, Katie, Louise and Inez; (deceased) Shirley and Mary; (surviving brothers) David and Tony; (deceased) Lindaray, Jerry, Eddie, George. One of most fundamental laws of science is the Law of the Conservation of Energy. Energy cannot be created or destroyed; it can only be changed from one form to another. Thus, we all can rejoice with the awareness that Sandras spirit and principles remain and continue to thrive in all the lives that she touched. Let us all be strengthened with the kind of faith, courage, humility and eternal love that transcends beyond what we can see, feel and touch; beyond the limitations of our senses. We Love You Sandra: Our Mother (Mamma), Grandmother, Sister, Auntie June, Guide, Confidant, Lover and Friend. Command The Day 2 Corinthians 5:6-8 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: (For we walk by Faith, not by sight:) We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
