Sandra (Shirley Jaquez) Mullins Sandy Mullins passed peacefully at home October 21, 2013. She was born in Sunnyside, WA October 7, 1941. Sandy moved to Tacoma’s Salishan neighborhood and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1959 and that’s where she met her late first husband and father of her children, Curly Jaquez. She loved to spend time with her friends and family and to feed everybody. She was devoted to her pets and treated them like royalty. She had a big heart for pets in the animal shelter and She donated pet food to the Tacoma Pierce County Humane Society. She volunteered at the Federal Way Group Health and valued their friendships. She liked meeting new people and assisted with vendor sales. . She also liked giving back to the community and volunteered at the Federal Way Kiwanis. She was preceded in death by her parents Clyde Leland Shirley and Maxine Virginia Tate, son Curt Jaquez, and husband William Mullins. Sandy leaves her daughter Janine (Mike) Sanderson, five grandchildren Shelby, Kurt (Tara), and Nicole Lanphere and Nicole and Quinn Sanderson, two great-grandchildren, Kwoiya and Kurt Lanphere, Jr. and anticipating a third great-grandchild in the spring. Graveside services will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Tacoma, November 8th at 1pm. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be sent to Tacoma Pierce County Humane Society. The family welcomes shared memories and condolences.
