None Ruth I. Short Ruth, 90, passed away April 7, 2012 in Lacey, Washington. She was born to Hjalmer and Elsa (Granne) Hedman on February 5, 1922 in Hoquiam, Washington. She was a 1941 graduate of Hoquiam High School, and married William C. Short on January 26, 1946, also in Hoquiam. Ruth was a homemaker who loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, shopping, and doing latch hooking. She was a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses and was very devoted to her faith; she enjoyed sharing her beliefs with others. She is survived by her son, Mark Short of Texas; daughter, Debra Crowder of Washington; brother, Ernie Hedman of Oregon; 13 grandchildren; and 21 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Short; brothers, Donald Hedman and Allen Hedman; and daughter, Barbara (Short) Church. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 26, 2012 in Elma Kingdom Hall, 1515 W. Main Street, Elma, WA 98541. Please leave remembrances below in the guestbook.
