Steven "Stevie" Boyd, 41, of Port Orchard & Tacoma, Washington passed away April 1, 2016 at St. Joseph Hospital in Tacoma, Washington. Steven was born May 20, 1974 to Karen and Robert Boyd. He was the baby of the family with two older siblings. After living in various parts of Washington, Europe, Arizona, Oregon & California, Steven settled in Tacoma two years ago where he lived with his Mother. Steven was a lover of the Lord. He loved his family, children, animals & warm sunny days. He was a friend to many homeless & mentally ill in the community. He never married or had any children of his own as he suffered with schizophrenia which impacted his capacity to have relationships with others, but he was deeply loved by many. Steven is survived by his Mother Karen, his Sister Karrie & his Brother David. His Nephews, Zachary & Nathan and his Nieces Liberty & Olivia as well as his Aunt Ann who was very close to him and family friends Ellen & Sally who were always supportive, and various relatives; Aunts, Uncles & Cousins. He is preceded in death by his Grandparents, Earl & Ellen Gilman and Dempster Boyd, as well as his Aunt Debbie Hicks and his favorite dog Spike. A Mass will be offered up for Steven at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Tacoma on Sunday April 10th. There will be no memorial service. His remains will be interned in the Garden Crypt at Calvary Cemetery in Lakewood Washington.
