Ardele Loraine Warren
April 11th, 1925 - January 15th, 2010
Ardele Grodvig Warren peacefully passed away January 15, 2010. Ardele was born in Seattle, Washington on April 11, 1925. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School, Seattle Class of 1943. She earned a B.A. and M.A. in Education from the University of Washington. She did Postgraduate work at the University of Puget Sound. She began her Teaching career at Highline Junior High, and continued her Librarian career at Bellarmine Preparatory and St. Charles Borromeo in Tacoma for 14 years. Ardele always participated in various group activities in the community. She was parish guild group president at St.Pius X Church in Mountlake Terrace, Washington. In 1958, she moved to Tacoma with her Husband Bert and family. Ardele was a resident of Day Island for 45 years. She was an early member of St. Charles Borromeo Church, serving on the first parish council as president. She also started and developed the school library, giving her talents and love of books to the school for 10 years. She is survived by her Husband of 60 years Herbert Warren, Sons James ( Barbara) of Shoreline, Paul ( Terri) of Snohomish, Peter (Pauline )of Tacoma and Daughter JaneAnn Peckenpaugh(Dave) of Tacoma. Grandchildren Scott, Elizabeth, Alexa, Michael and Daniel. Memorials may be made to PCLF the University Place Public Library. Please share memories and condolences at www.edwardsmemorial.com
