Wilbur "Will" Smith
November 9th, 1930 - December 9th, 2011
NA Wilbur Lee Smith Will was born on November 9, 1930 to Arthur and Fannie Smith. He grew up in Olympia graduating in 1948 from Olympia High School. He worked as an engineer for Washington State Dept of Transportation from 1952 to 1982 when he retired. Will then worked Jewelry Sales, Best Product from 1982 to 1996. Will and Linda enjoyed R’ving in their fifth wheel. They went to Lake Chelan and Leavenworth every summer and worked trips to Port Townsend in between. Will enjoyed working in the yard and golfing with Linda even though neither one of them were good at it. Will liked to read and watch the Seahawks. He especially enjoyed his nap when the Seahawks were not doing so well. Will loved the morning coffee with his buddies. They had four places that they went to throughout the week. Will would go to the bank to pick up gold dollars that he used as a tip to the servers. Will took great pride in the fact that he designed and built the garage that housed the RV, his truck, his shop and Linda’s fruit room. He also designed and built the garden shed. Will also designed and built a Garden Pool with waterfall on the patio. Will was a quiet man with a gentle spirit He is very much missed by his wife Linda, his beagle Becky and family and friends. We take great comfort in the fact that the second he passed, he was with Jesus. Will was a member of Evergreen Christian Community Church and is survived by his Wife Linda M. Smith, 5 sons, Gary(Paula), David(Marie), James, Donald and Richard(Shirly) Smith, and 8 Grandchildren. The family suggests memorials may be made to Community Care Services at Evergreen Christian Community Church 1000 Black Lake Blvd SW Olympia, WA 98502. Please sign the guest book below.
