Timothy Gregory Givens

Tim was called home to live with Jesus unexpectedly. He leaves behind his beloved mother, Candy Givens; father, Gregory Givens; sister, Misty Givens; two nephews, Quinn Bell and Terrence Gardner; and his fiancée Allison Rawlings, who was the love of his life. His passing has left a huge hole in all our lives. Tim was born and raised in Tacoma. He attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He started his career with Denny’s at age 16, starting as a busboy and worked up to the position of General Manager. He loved his job and the people he worked with. He was an avid Seahawks fan and game days were spent with family and friends rooting for his favorite team. Tim took to heart the charge that God gave him in 2 Timothy: to proclaim the teachings of the Lord in word or deed with encouragement, reprimand and patient teaching. Tim worked through his deeds and his gentle nature to teach peace and harmony. He lived his life sharing his failures and successes – not to brag but to show others that even when you think you’re too far gone, there is hope. He will always be remembered for his encouragement and compassion. He was our “Gentle Giant”. It would be an honor to Tim to carry on his example of helping others.
