Dennis Christophor Stevens November 3, 1954 - September 18, 2011 Dennis Christopher Stevens passed into God's loving hands on September 18, 2011. He was born on November 3, 1954 in Olympia, WA. Dennis lived in Thurston County his entire life and was an active member of the community. He graduated from Tenino High School in 1973 and married Cyndie Scheel in 1974. They had three children together and they were married for 35 years. Just before graduation, Dennis started working at the City of Lacey and he worked there for 38 years. Dennis was also a reserve police officer for almost 20 years, working for Lacey, Tumwater, and Tenino police departments. He really enjoyed his time spent as a police officer and helping his community. Dennis had many interests, including going to old car shows, monster truck shows, camping, and fishing. He liked going for long drives in the country and he enjoyed riding his motorcycle. He loved the Seahawks. He also loved Elvis and collecting Elvis memorabilia. He enjoyed digging up old bottles, toys, marbles, and anything else from our history. He liked to build things also. He built beautiful shelves, doll cases, hope chests and a log bed frame, among other things. Dennis especially loved spending time playing with his grandchildren. Dennis has been a member of multiple clubs throughout his life, including The Tenino Depot Museum, The Swantowne Pirates, The Eagles, and Brothers to the End. Dennis is survived by his mother, Lorraine E. Millette Stevens; his ex-wife, Cyndie Scheel Stevens; one son, Josh (Shannon) Stevens and their children, Dylan and Sarah; and two daughters, Jessie (Matt) Russell and their children, Colby, Zack and Kyler, and Michelle Stevens; four brothers, Mark (Debra) Stevens, Chuck Stevens, J.R. Stevens, and Toby Stevens; one sister, Cheryl (Mike) Rice; his girlfriend, Wyndi Stevens; her children, Cammron Wallen, Sahra (Paul) Aube, Stephanie (Anthony) Sirisin and their children, Tristyn and Haidyn, and Annastacia Holmes; and many nieces, nephews, family, and friends. He is preceeded in death by his father, Donald G. Stevens; and one sister, Lynn Marie Stevens. Please leave memories of Dennis or condolences in the Guestbook below.
