CELEBRATE the life of Leona “Gayle” Strauss!Gayle was born on November 29, 1949 in Highlands, TX to Steven and Billy Fertner. She departed this earth and her “old body” for her “new body” in HEAVEN on September 25, 2007. First, and foremost, she lived life so abundantly for her Lord God and Jesus Christ. She will always be remembered for sharing her knowledge of the Bible. As a mother she always put herself last, in order for her children to receive first. Being such a brave person, she was always “on an adventure” and loved to live in different places and meet new people. Remember what she told us. "If I don't see you tomorrow, I will see you on the other side!" Preceded in death by her father Elmer “Steven” Fertner and survived by her mother Billy Katherine Fertner of OK, Son William Donald Strauss and wife Lisa and of CA, Daughter Linda Gayle Brown and husband Joel of TX, Son Dennis Wayne Strauss of WA, Son Staff Sergeant David Michael Strauss and wife Christine of KS, and 10 wonderful grandchildren: Nicole, Lena, Janet, Samantha, Alexis, Chance, Amanda, Sarah, Jozlynne, and Zachariah.
