Susan John Nelson, age 62, of LaBelle passed away peacefully at home May 9, 2011 in LaBelle. She was born September 10, 1948 in Cleveland, OH to the late John Stepko and Jeanette McMahon Stepko. Susan was a loyal member of the LaBelle Women's Club, The Moose Lodge, VFW and was an avid fisherman. She also was a substitute teacher for LaBelle High School and most students called her Grandma. Survivors include her children: Kelly Ann Chapman (David), Thomas Joseph Nelson Jr. (Shelly) and Sandra Ann Golemme (Billy), twelve grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, a "special buddy", Ron Pitts and many friends and extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband: Tom Nelson Sr. and son: Patrick James Nelson. A gathering of friends will he held Sunday, May 15, 2011 from 2-4 p.m. at the Akin-Davis Funeral Home in LaBelle. Arrangements by : Akin-Davis Funeral Home - LaBelle
