Obituary for: Harold William Bischel Harold William Bischel, age 61, of LaBelle, passed away May 12, 2010 in Lehigh Acres. He was born Aug. 11, 1948 in Tampa, the son of the late Helmuth and the late Norma Jean (Hollon) Bischel. He was a resident of LaBelle since 1964. Harold served in the Marine Corps in Vietnam and was a recipient of the Purple Heart, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnamese Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal w/Bronze Star and Rifle Expert Badge. He worked for many years as a Certified Cadastralist with Okeechobee, Glades and Hendry County Property Appraisers offices. He was the Hendry County GIS Director since 2007. Harold was a member of the Church of God-LaBelle Survivors include his wife: Anita (Pflum) Bischel, sons: William Jacob Bischel (Nancy) and Jason Scott Bischel, both of LaBelle, brother: Helmuth Bischel (Betty) of Pensacola, sister: Lillian Elizabeth Bischel of Tampa and grandson, Jacob William Bischel. He was preceded in death by his brothers Charles, Kenneth and Ralph Bischel. Funeral services will be held Sat. May 15, 2010 at 10:00 am at Church Of God-LaBelle, Highway 80, LaBelle with Rev. Cliff Gobble officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Denaud Cemetery, LaBelle. Visitation will be tonight from 6-8 p.m. at Church of God-LaBelle, Arrangements by Akin-Davis Funeral Home - LaBelle.
