Debra "Dee" Marie Mills

Dee was born on December 26th, 1949 in Flasher, ND and passed away at Franciscan Hospice House in University Place on October 10, 2010 after a brave and inspiring bout with cancer. Dee is survived by her husband, Greg, her son Connor, sisters Kathy, Eva and Hank and numerous extended family members and friends. Dee was a constant source of joy and love to the many people who knew her through her long employment with Washington State Liquor Control Board's retail stores -- first as a clerk at the Queen Anne store in Seattle -- and then for most of her career as the manager of the Gig Harbor store. A constant and enthusiastic volunteer when anyone she knew needed help, Dee was especially active in supporting activities of the Steilacoom School District where her son Connor attended elementary through high school and as a sideline supporter extraordinaire at all Lakewood Magic soccer games. Dee touched a great many lives in a uniquely positive way and her abscence will be felt deeply by all.
