Catherine Joy Unger

Catherine Joy Unger Catherine Joy Unger passed away to be with the Lord on the morning of June 22, 2011. Her family was at her side. Catherine enjoyed photography, road trips, bicycling, cats and dogs, playing the piano and most of all spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed reading the Bible and attending church. Catherine was born in Casper, Wyoming, and spent most of her life in Oregon and Washington. Catherine is survived by her husband, Jim Unger; father, Buckley Duane Winterowd; brothers, Keith Winterowd and his wife Victoria, and Kelvin Winterowd and his wife Yvonne; her daughters, Harmony Ray McGuire and Melody Hjorten; son; Jacob Hjorten; and grandchildren, Breauna, Hannah, and Connor. She was preceded in death by her mother, JoAnn Winterowd, and her brother, Terry Winterowd. The family suggests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Society (P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718), or Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (1500 Rosecrans Avenue, Suite 200, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266). A celebration of Catherine’s life will be held at 12:00 noon, Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at Grace Foursquare Church at 3030 Borst Avenue, Centralia, WA 98531.
